Trattoria Lisnia Winery Wedding | Donald & Mary

Donald and Mary’s wedding day was filled with 40 of their closest friends and family and an abundance of personal touches.

The restaurant and winery created such a romantic and intimate setting for their vows and reception.

The fountain out front made for the most beautiful cocktail space.

The vines covering the restaurant walls transported you straight to the Italian countryside.

The tree’s surrounding the property created lots of shade to shield from the heat of the midsummer sun.

The entire property at Trattoria Lisina was manicured to bring the beauty of the hill country to life.

It was the perfect setting for Donald and Mary to start their new life together.

I had gotten to know Donald and Mary throughout the months leading up to their wedding day and through our time taking engagement photos together. But I got to see such a sweet side to both of them during their wedding day.

Mary was truly the ultimate host; gift bags, hangover kits, and customized meals; she thought of every detail and every individual there.

Guests arrived with custom tote bags filled with local Austin goodies and recovery items for the celebratory weekend.

The 5-course pasts meal catered to everyone’s needs, gluten-free, vegan, all sorts of different options filled the tables during dinner. Throughout the reception, Mary handed guests hangover kits to ensure they had an enjoyable morning.

Mary’s hospitality and design shined through the whole day, and Donald’s loving and compassionate demeanor made everyone feel like one big family, me included.

Donald was constantly checking on each guest, seeing if they needed anything, and constantly trying to get his granddaughter to laugh. It was so sweet to see his heart shine when surrounded by all of his loved ones.

During our engagement session, I got see a glimpse of his heart when he shared his concerns about me taking photos by myself in more remote locations. He shared so many ways and tools I could use to make sure I stay safe while with couples out taking pictures, it was sweet to see his concern over someone he just met!

Their wedding day was filled with them. They made it look and feel like themselves; they didn’t try to stick to trends or Instagram worthy details. They focused on what brought them joy — their friends and families.

It was beautiful to see all of their personal touches, and their personalities shine through.
